Fun route, nice positive crimpy holds. Would not like to lead this yet!

My beta was from the fact that I had already climbed both adjacent routes that day. If you fell off from the 5a moves on this route just before the break 2/3rds of the way up, you would have a good chance to deck out imho, and that is why it gets E1 here (HVS in CC guidebook). Would be better protected if you used side runners - I did not attempt this but it is probably possible.

First headpoint (top roped, picked the gear then lead), surprisingly enjoyable. Amazing sunny day in December!

Decent route a bit runout in places but the climbing was easy. There are are harder HVS's but it was a little bold so E1/HVS sounds about right. Lovely weather first of only two leads of the day. SUMC Freshers Trip

Found a sneaky cam midway which provided the best protection of the 3 total pieces. Enjoyable route!

Bit nervous on first E1 for a while but in the end the moves weren't strenuous, just tenuous!

Top roped it first, then went for the lead, easyish climbing with very little gear. Did it with Ste, went to the crag to practice SPA stuff, ended up on an E1, standard. Sunny day.

Very enjoyable slab climbing on positive edges & flakes. Reasonably protected if you've got microwires/cams - if so, feels fair at HVS. Magnificent view out across the estuary to Cadair.

e1 5a seems about right in the new rockfax guide. If the high gear placements were slightly better HVS would seem more justified.

Sy Finch 07/Feb/14 Lead RP

Top-roped once a few years ago so felt more of an onsight today. Thought it was worth E1. Sustained 5a moves and a tad bold. Good climbing though.
