Rockfax Description
The left exit from the cave and continuation groove system provides one of the area's most dramatic hard routes, at the upper limit of the grade. Start at the back of the cave.
1) 6a, 18m. Climb the groove to a tiny cave/hole under the overhangs. Make a difficult and cramped traverse leftwards (old pegs and thread) to a foothold stance and belay (shared with Close to the Edge).
2) 6a, 20m. Move up and right to gain the groove/corner-line above the belay. Head up the groove to a point where the left wall starts to lean, then move out left to the edge of the groove and up to a ledge. Stride back right into the groove and then ascend the wall to reach a ledge and abseil station. © Rockfax
