βeta: Repeated this today, the Rock Fax description is incorrect 'Has become more difficult since a flake fell off the start.' No flake has fallen off the start, it's just the same as it was when I did the First Ascent!

βeta: Guide is a bit confusing in this part of the slab - lines on the topo don't seem to quite match the bolt lines.

harold walmsley 7 Sep, 2016 Lead O/S Much harder than its neighbour. Seriously underestimated in difficulty and quality in the guide and here. Felt as hard as Crazy Train and nearly as good. Typical sustained slate slab climbing on small edges with unobvious line. First bolt too high so we clipped quickdraws in to it on lower off from Fat Controller.

ksjs 1 Nov, 2011 Lead O/S Very enjoyable, steady climbing. Maybe my first non-grit route in UK in November? Greeted by sun as I reached the top. Take this with a pinch of salt but I think the lines on the photo in the new guide are wrong: Scarface climbs the line shown as number 53 while the description for 53 is for Red Throated Diver.

Alex Mason 16 Jun, 2010 Lead O/S This felt absolutely nails for 6a+. 6b+ seems about right. Either i did the wrong route? starting by a long slanting detatched flake, passing the first bolt to a projecting flake up and left?? May have felt so hard as it was in trainers, but its all good edges for feet?? i dont know?
