The obvious, straight groove system left of twisting gully.

Ticklists: Great routes in the Coe.

A brilliant day in many ways. Great route, amazing weather, good conditions and some great crack with other climbers. The guy leading behind us was doing incredibly well for someone that was about to get a hip replacement!!!

Great route with sustained interest in the two main pitches. In a novel turn of events Willie led all the difficulties of p1 and p3

First winter route! The sun shone all day and not a breath of wind. Apparently its always like that up there.

Missed top chimney as no ice in it at all and looked desperate (one to go back to). Finished right through tech 4 climbing.

The first pitch was really good, frozen turf and fantastic hooks. Bailed off due to the avalanches coming down the second chimney of twisting gully, were coming down every few minutes and didn't look like much fun.

P1 & 2 only then last pitch twisting gully

Lead first pitch then went onto Twisting Gully due to unfrozen mud, went left to avoid crux (no ice), then a bit of a struggle and slab release at the cornice.

Excellent climbing made interesting with the lack of ice and fresh covering of snow

P2 chockstone lean and accordingly hard. Top chimney P3 is a nice piece of work. An excellent day.

Cracking route. Sensational hooking up the crack on the final pitch.

Led P1. First two pitches of Twisting Grooves followed by last two pitches of Twisting Gully.

led p2 twisting grooves easy snow slope but with the "this belay is shit, don't fall" it was a bit 'meh'. Drew the short straw for final pitch of twisting gully which saw me tackling another run out snow slope and the cornice from hell.

cool climb good to start off the season. felt fairly hard for IV, 5.. maybe V 5 with the last pitch in the dark. bomber hooks through the steep chimney. lead pitch two with a crucifix move.

Led p2+3. Hard work under heavy snow.

No bad nick. Guide book description misleading on last pitch? It says climb a fault and chimney above the belay as the last pitch 50m. There is a fault which has an old insitu wire low down. This fault and the chimney above looked grade 6 to me. We moved 4 metres right and climbed a fault and chimney, not visible from the belay, at grade 5.
