Rockfax Description
The original route on this section of wall sees little attention these days.
It tackles the long diagonal groove in the face. Start down and left of this below a triangular slab.
1) 5a, 30m. A bold line up the lower wall.
2) 5c, 40m. Move up a rampline leading right to the crack. Follow this to a belay.
3) 5a, 45m. Continue up the crack with a small detour onto the left wall.
4) 4b, 45m. More climbing up the crack trending left higher up. © Rockfax

We took secateurs & did our bit. There was quite a lot of loose rock cast aside too, so it's probably the cleanest it's been for a while. Definitely not a route to stand under if people are on it & it makes you realise how much work Ian Ll-J puts into his routes here. P1 has more gear than the guidebook suggests whilst P2 & P3 will take everything from micros to huge cams. Cams #2-4 worth doubling up on.

Great adventure. Good line with some lovely climbing. Vegetation is not a big problem, but if you're thinking of doing it, taking a trowel or secateurs to help de-bramble it a bit would be very public spirited. Surprised to see no-one else has logged it!
