Crag features

One of the more accessible crags in the Rhinogs facing south west on the slopes of Clogau above the village of Bontdu on the Mawddach. Although approach is around 30 minutes from the car, it is quite steady and on good ground.

There is an upper and a lower tier which have an excellent outlook over Cwm LLechan, with views of Diffwys all the way down the valley to the Mawddach estuary. Rock is of excellent quality Welsh grit.

Some really enjoyable routes, with perhaps Titrwm Tatrwm being the best on the crag, which is well worth a visit if only to do that.

Topo

I know climbers don't normally like walking... but the walk-in from the lay-by in Bontddu is very pleasant, and you'll get to nosey at a number of beautifully renovated cottages. At the crag, concentration levels need to be high at all times as there are numerous loose boulders and gaping hidden holes everywhere. The outlook reminded us of the Duddon Valley. A magical place to climb.
