UKC

Rockfax Description
An old hybrid route that is now bolted. It gives desperate technical fingery and bouldery moves with a decent rest available before the second crux. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Gain and pass the thin crack to gain a small flatty above the bulge. Once on the slab, move up and left to the ‘blank’ bulge above to gain a crucial layaway. Use this to gain a good sloping jug far above. A couple of exciting moves leads to a good break above after which swing right into the short groove to an easier finish. Vicious, fingery and bouldery moves throughout; fortunately the near no-hand rest before the crux is very helpful. The cemented-in peg dates back to the first ascent.

Keith Sharples (as E5 6c) 1984.

βeta: Couple of slightly loose holds. First the big jug above the hard start. And top right foot just before chain.

βeta: Good to get this retro-bolted and re-cleaned and into circulation; sorry for the 38 year delay!
