Adders are frequently seen around Curbar. They are often very well camoflaged so it's worth keeping an eye out when moving into new areas, picking up kit etc as a bite, although not life threatening to most healthy adults can still be nasty.

Ticks are abundant due to a large population of red deer. take care, particularly if passing through bracken below the crag.

Rockfax Description
From the tip of the tombstone, make a baffling step round left into the shallow groove which takes small wires that are tricky to place. The groove and steep jamming crack above lead to ledges. Traverse out left and climb the wall to finish. © Rockfax

βeta: Crack takes some good RPs. Left foot out on the knobbly ridge bit right of the crack, Right foot on the good foot hold, used both hands on the arĂȘte and pocket, left hand up first to a semi decent finger lock at the base of the wide notch, and rock over with the right hand. Then layback to the top of the first crack.
