There is a loose flake on pitch 6 of Giant's Crawl near the belay - extreme care is needed.

Seasonal Restrictions

Dates: 1 March to 30 June

Reason: Nesting Birds

Peregrines have been known to nest on the upper section of B Buttress, above Giants Crawl as well as C Buttress. The last time the birds were known to nest was 2014, but if visiting the crag early in the season please be aware that they could return and report to the BMC if birds are seen nesting.

Rockfax Description
A testing route that crosses some impressive territory and has a run-out section on the upper part of the first pitch. Start at a small perched rock spanning from a spike.
1) 5a, 30m. From the perched block, move up rightwards to a crack on the right side of a smooth wall. Traverse right to an open groove/scoop and follow this boldly to a belay.
2) 4c, 20m. Move right 3m and then take the groove and cracks above to the top. © Rockfax

βeta: Enough gear and steady climbing during the traverse. Convincing gear is hard to arrange to protect the thin moves of the exit up the final groove and it's best to be confident at the grade.

βeta: Pete lead p1. Awesome pitch with ace climbing. I lead p2. steady away and then a short scramble to the belay. CRAG SWAG - Had to leave a large nut (WC Classic Rock size 10 from memory) just right of the belay ledge at the top of P1 - just in the off chance any one finds it, happens to read this and wants to return it ;)
