Rockfax Description
Finish direct up the reachy centre wall instead of moving right. A 5a bouldery start up the face just right is another option. © Rockfax

βeta: I did the "5a" start no problem but at the top had to go slightly right and directly up between the VS & the Severe which still felt harder & bolder than any VS 4c's I've done and a lot more technical than the 5a start. Tried to go the intended way shown in the guidebook, but that's even harder again and has no protection for that move or the rest of the head wall... | βeta?

βeta: The topo in the guide shows the route too far left, up a blank wall. I tried this at the weekend, and just couldn't get established on the angled mantelshelf. I wouldn't mind knowing the grade for this. The proper route is pretty obvious though, just go up for the spike using the flakes. | βeta?
