Rockfax Description
A good direct line on The Sump. Climb up broken rocks to reach a corner which is followed on reasonable holds (some are friable!) to gain the ramp. Finish up the steep corner above. © Rockfax

βeta: at least one or two holds broke on me on the steep left wall of the 3rd chimney. I was probably pulling on them too hard, but resulted in me falling maybe 10m due to the rope stretch. Hit the ledge and tumbled over, smashed my helmet and landed upside down at the 'bad step' with a broken nose and cuts. I would strongly advise a 2nd belay just below this section to reduce the potential stretch in the event of a fall. This move may be trickier (or easier!) now! | βeta? | |
