βeta: Touched perched block and it moved downwards slightly! Considered leaving as might have been possible to climb round it carefully but after careful consideration decided test it's stability and likely to remove in a controlled trundle to avoid a likely fatal accident in the future. One light outward pull and the whole block came down! Scary how easily this happened and justified my judgement!! Cleared up soil debris, did moves on rope so it is still climbable (hard 6a?! Crux still the same but getting set up into it harder now) provided a 2nd flake remains stable that looks also perched on the ledge. AVOID putting any gear in behind this flake and take care as if this slips it could also cause an accident. There is gear in flake to the left before the existing crux gear is reached once bridged so there is no reason to put gear behind it! https://photos.app.goo.gl/2AEjoLk3pHWWtYAKA | βeta? | |
