Ramshaw is home to some of the hardest routes in Britain and most of them are graded HVS - a Yosemite style tape job is the only access requirement! There are no access problems at the main crag. However, do not try and climb at Lady Rock (the buttresses on the far right above the farm house), these are not on access land, the owner lives very close and has been confrontational.
Rockfax Description
8m. Crank on those classic jams up the handle-shaped crack to a trickier finish. Short but oh so sweet, and barely 4c for grit gurus! © Rockfax

βeta: Quite an amusing tussle! Layback-ed the first two meters, or so, then swung 'round into great jams, before a much-needed no-hands rest in the horizontal. Definitely should be on the tick-list for all those who count themselves crack-fiends!

βeta: Not hard unless you're about as adept at jamming aas myamte (who had done a 6b+ boulder problem earlier on that I couldnt get near so it was nice to get my own back). I've no idea where the "5a" move was supposed to be, probably 4c at the start and the rest 4b-ish but sustained? Placing gear inthe break was more effort than it was worth too. | βeta?

βeta: Truly excellent hand jamming -- a good place to take wall rats for their first grit outing :) | βeta?
