βeta: We removed a tape sling from around a large boulder above Proud Corner Yesterday. The sling looked to be one used in the construction industry and only rated to a WLL of 285kg. Given some UV damage and a little wear this may have become a serious hazard even to someone loading bodyweight. With cheap and strong climbing slings widely available there\'s no excuse for people to leave potentially dangerous equipment for others to unwittingly use. Either equip routes properly or don\'t bother. A reminder to all of us myself included, to check in situ equipment. | ||

βeta: This route is worth half an hour of anyone's time. People who think it should be HVS clearly haven't done many HVSs! You do have to climb above your gear, but the crux isn't hard, easy 4c on good holds, and any experienced VS leader should have no trouble. Great route - nice climbing in a lovely position. | ||
