Covid-19

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving.

Please proceed with caution though. More details.

12m.

Rockfax Description
The left side of the smooth wall. Gain a good handhold at 5m, then move up left and back right to pockets. Finish up the wall to a tree and abseil/lower off. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
A finger tearing and intriguing climb with poor protection which is difficult to arrange. Start below the centre of the wall, just right of 'Rogues Gallery'.

Step up onto a ledge and use a layaway hold to reach a good ledge. Move left a metre or so and then move back up right to good pockets. Pull straight up to a large oak and yew tree on the large ledge above.

Scott Quinn 30 Mar, 2019 Lead RP First low RP was in (I could place this from the foot ledge anyway...below the jug), the other two RPS & hooks placed on lead. Good fingery climbing - harsh on the skin!

Adam Jackson lakes 9 Jul, 2017 Lead RP First hard trad lead. Top roped one session then came back, top roped once more then lead. Climbed into the crux past a piece of gear and had to down climb a bit but managed to stay on.
