Rockfax Description
14m. The magnificent arete tapering to a shark's fin hanging in space is a stern test of any cragsman's ability. As appears to be so often the case with classic grit aretes, there are runners available in the half-height pockets. The loss of pebbles after the third ascent has made it harder - it may be unrepeated in this state. © Rockfax

βeta: I think crucial pebbles came off the crux after the 3rd? ascent and made the route significantly harder (and unrepeated in its present state?). Not the best choice as the "Top E8 in Yorkshire". New Statesman has had more ascents therefore more concensus?
