Cold Snaps in the Lakes rarely seem to last more than a few days, so there is no time for snow consolidation or ice to form and gullies rarely come into condition.
Here are 10 routes, all good quality, at easy or mid grades, and crucially they require nothing more than frozen ground and preferably a dump of fresh snow. They will all be in condition at some time every winter so it's an easy tick list to complete
