Bat Man McClure On The Telly

© Alastair Lee/
Steve McClure, the man who hangs upside down by his feet from cliffs, will be on the telly tonight.

When: Channel Five News at 7pm.

It will feature his latest accomplishment at Malham Cove, Overshadow 9a+, probably the hardest sport route in the UK, and will be all inclusive of the media hook (no pun intended), the bathang. The clip was filmed by roving climbing cameraman Ben Pritchard (who made the black and white short Splinter featuring Malcom Smith and was the cameraman on the Julia Bradbury epic Ultimate Climb).

Steve McClure is also featured climbing all his 9a's (including the one he hasn't done yet) in Alastair Lee's latest DVD, PSYCHE, which will be available in mid - October. If you want a screensaver featuring Steve head on over to

Steve McClure is sponsored by Petzl, Five Ten, Beal and Fat Face.
