A couple of days ago, Joey Kinder made the FA of Southern smoke, 8c+, in the RRG, a route he bolted himself. Strangely enough, this is only the 3rd route of this grade in the area, after Mike Doyle'sLucifer and Mikaël Fussilier's 50 words for pump. Could this be cause the sand stone has a tendency to break when the holds are too small or something, cause there are definitely no lack of long, steep lines... Anyway, Joey has been a great climber for quite a few years now, but this year, he's really picked up his game considerably non the less. What do you say about two 9a's and five 8c+'s?
