Learn To Film and Edit at Kendal Mountain FestivalVideo

AFA If we feature a video on UKClimbing.com in a couple of days it can be watched between 2,000 and 10,000 times depending on what the video is about.

With the widespread uptake of broadband and online video sites like Vimeo and YouTube, video is the present and the future of the internet. Video cameras and editing software are inexpensive and far easier to use than in the past.

At UKClimbing.com we feature video each week and now have our own video channel: soon there will be VIDEO in the top menu bar and we will have our own video gallery, similar to the photo gallery, where you will be able to upload video.

As well documenting your own adventures there are many commercial opportunities in the outdoor world for those with filming and editing skills. Video adverts are becoming become far more important, and more effective, than graphical adverts found in print and online. At UKC we are also looking at delivering video gear reviews and instructional videos, as well as top climbers performing.
