On form James Pearson made quick work of an Italian F8c+ sport route last month.

The route, called Quello che non c'è is a granite sport route on the giant boulder of Sasso Remenno close to Val di Mello, Italy. It was first climbed last year by Simone Pedeferri (see Planet Mountain News) and James' quick tick was the second ascent.

James commented to UKC:

"It was a great experience, and a great surprise to do it.  I was belayed by Simone which made things even more memorable, he was very happy to see his route receive its second ascent."

James climbed the route on his first redpoint attempt after working the moves.

Good effort! Brits abroad grabbing some significant second ascents! That's what I like to see. :-)

Nice one! James seems to be on brilliant form recently. With multiple 8c+'s ticked in swift fashion I'm sure it won't be long before he's back in the news for ticking something in the 9th grade.
