Dave MacLeod Hits Swiss Boulders - 8B/+ Video

© Dave MacLeod
Scottish climber Dave MacLeod is currently in Switzerland bouldering and has kicked off his trip with an ascent of Conquistador Direct 8B/+ in Chironico.

Dave commented on his blog:

"I went across the river and made a quick ascent of Conquistador Direct 8B/+ which was recently put up and the video of it looked excellent... It was just as good as it looked although I did have a grumble to myself about the heat making in hard to squeeze the pinches. It's really made me realise how lucky we are in Scotland with frequent good conditions thanks to the almost permanent wind!"

And here's the video:

Ha ha - love Dave's comment about Scotland having "frequent good conditions thanks to the almost permanent wind". Not sure if he's talking about the same Scotland that I live in..?!

Generally when I think about Scottish climbing, my first thought is about how lucky we are with the weather and conditions, yes. ~_^ Very nice bit of rock there, and a good ascent.
