New 9b for Seb Bouin in Albania

Seb Bouin has made the first ascent of a new 9b, calling it 'The Dream.' The route is at Brar in Albania and was bolted by Adam Ondra in 2018.

Bouin had been in Albania since late November with the aim of attempting the route which Ondra described as a '50-metre mega line.' Bouin enthusiastically described the route as 'exceptional,' noting that it was unusual to have a 9b with so many tufas.

Battling wet rock and poor conditions, Bouin fell from the crux section several times before the perfect weather rolled in for his ascent.

Starting with an ascent of Mamichula (9b) in April, Bouin has had an exceptional year. He went on to climb Ondra's Move (9b/+) in Flatanger, before climbing his own 9b/+ in the Verdon Gorge.
