In Isolation - New UKC Competition Climbing Video Series

Disappointed to miss out on 2020 IFSC competition action? The season might be up in the air, but UKC will be bringing you In Isolation: a weekly socially-distant chat show which will hopefully go some way to giving you a fill of past-season action, with fond memories of former World Cup events and some famous faces as guests.

Join IFSC Commentators Charlie Boscoe and Mike Langley and UKC Editor and former competitor Natalie Berry for some insight, laughs and banter. Watch out for the first episode based around Meiringen Boulder World Cup memories on Friday 3rd April, featuring an interview with a special guest. We'll aim to release a new episode every Friday.

Support UKC

We need your help.

UKClimbing is a vibrant web site with rich content and an amazing community. So far, all we've asked of you is that you visit and interact with the site but we are in uncertain times. We need to look at ways to keep the site moving forward whilst maintaining our key aim of allowing free access to everyone to our main content. The site will continue to be mainly funded by a subtle level of outdoor-only advertising but we now need extra support to ensure we can continue to provide the UKC that we all know and love.

You can help us by becoming a UKC Supporter. This can be in a small way or in a larger package that includes discounted products from our sister-publishing company Rockfax.

If you appreciate UKClimbing then please help us by becoming a UKC Supporter.

Is the date a typo? Presume it’s 3rd April?

Yep, sorry! Thanks for spotting that.

The current method of consuming climbing media these days for a lot of us is video now on sites like Youtube. Epic TV's climbing daily has been a wonderful series and I wondered some time back if UKC would start looking at this medium as a way of reaching out.

On the UKC articles I've noticed reader numbers are a few thousand but when you look at the views of climbing daily, the figures are huge. Whilst I do enjoy sitting down and reading a good article and having the chatter on the forums, will vids become a more regular item here? Can current staff make such a transition from the written to a video or would specific talent for vids be hired?
