New 8b+ First Ascent by Emma Twyford
Emma Twyford has made the first ascent of a new line at Lower Pen Trywn, North Wales. Deux Mauvais Melons links the start of Melancholie 8b before traversing right into Bad Bad Boy and finishing up Pas de Deux.

The route - a three star classic and sought-after tick - is on the left side of the catwalk and was first climbed by John Dunne back in 1988.
Emma commented:
"It's an awesome route, I absolutely loved climbing it - nice and technical with a bit of burly climbing."
The Sheffield based climber has also recently ticked the classic Malham 8a's Raindogs and Zoolook.
