About the role

Every climbing centre & its equipment needs to have annual inspections & recertifications to ensure that it is safe to use. The job role entails visiting these facilities, working through a pre-set inspection report & checking each component so that it can be deemed safe to climb. This work is carried out in a team of 2 and hours are variable, with early morning starts. The role is very physical and requires working at height from ropes.

The Role

  • Liaising with the Service Admin Team & Lead Inspector to plan workload
  • Helping to complete site specific reports
  • Carry out PPE inspections
  • Build & carry out minor repairs of climbing walls
  • Occasionally Work within the Service Centre in Kelbrook with general duties 
  • Help to generate sales of walls, inspections, equipment & holds
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Knowledge of climbing and/or climbing wall industry beneficial but not essential
  • Good communicator with customers via email & phone
  • Competent with CRM systems, Excel, emails and general IT literacy
  • Ability to work closely with both our in-house team & subcontractors.
  • Excellent English grammar & spelling, essential for customer communication
  • High attention to detail for inspection work
  • Construction & joinery experience beneficial
  • Fork lift, scissor lift and rope work experience beneficial
  • Driving licence essential

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 39.5 hours per week with varied start/finish times.
