Raven's Pit will kick off the Arc'teryx Big Mountain Weekend that is taking place at Sticklebarn over the weekend of 4th and 5th May. The event aims to educate, share and improve skills necessary for enjoying the mountains and crags safely. The weekend will be based around a series of clinics headed up by the International School of Mountaineering.

Lake District local Craig Matheson will be talking about his climbing career and how he fits climbing in around a busy life. He will look at motivation, mindset and training and talk about his journey from Severe to E9 – how he's progressed and the sacrifices he's made.

Craig says "Ultimately I try to demonstrate that success really depends on one key thing – how bad do you want it?"

Tickets are £20, which includes talks, films and a climber's supper. BOOK HERE

There are still a few clinic spaces left, these can be booked HERE
