Siurana Climbing Festival - 11th to 13th November 2022 Press Release

Experience three days of activities and clinics led by athletes, mountain guides, instructors, climbing developers, photographers and equipment specialists, along with climbers from all over the world, to celebrate sport climbing in one of the most emblematic places.

Climbing Improvement – Level 1

Climbing tactics for intermediate climbers, led by athletes and mountain guides, with the objective of acquiring knowledge and skills to improve onsight and redpoint climbing.

THE DETAILS:

  • Level: Intermediate (6 grade, 5.10b to 5.11c range)
  • Day: Saturday and Sunday
  • Duration: All morning
  • Location: Central sector of the festival
  • Meeting time: 09:30h

Gear to bring: Climbing shoes, harness, quickdraws, helmet, rope, chalk, food and water.

Climbing Improvement – Level 2

Climbing tactics for advanced-level climbers, led by athletes and mountain guides, with the objective of acquiring knowledge and skills to improve onsight and redpoint climbing.

  • Level: Advanced (From 7 grade, 5.11d and up)
  • Day: Saturday and Sunday

Climbing Initiation

Introduction to sport climbing with the guidance of professional athletes and mountain guides where you will work on basic technical skills and safety measures necessary to fully enjoy rock climbing.

  • Level: Beginner (5 grade, 5.7 to 5.10 range)
  • Day: Saturday or Sunday
  • Duration: All morning
  • Location: Central sector of the festival

Climbing with the Athletes

Gathering of the festival participants to share routes and climbing with the invited athletes.

Fear Management

A workshop aimed at strengthening the climber's confidence and fear control. We'll work on aspects such as focusing attention, minimizing risks, and providing safety with the belayer together with professional climbers.
