18-months ago, with ten solid years of hard training under its belt, the MoonBoard received its first major update with the introduction of the LED System and Smartphone App. Since then, more than 20,000 registered MoonBoard users have climbed and contributed to the 12,000+ problems, ranging from 6b+ to 8b, and 100 "Benchmark" problems, from 6b to 7c+.
At MoonClimbing, we're always looking to develop new ways to better your climbing and training experience. We have been very busy working on new developments at Moon Climbing. Most recently we have relaunched the MoonClimbing online store. The MoonBoard App has been updated with a whole new gamut of features, including support for the 25 and 40 degree MoonBoard.
So what's next?
We're excited to announce that we will soon be launching a new setup for the MoonBoard - The MoonBoard Masters 2017 - which will Include two new ranges of holds - School Holds C and MoonBoard Wood Holds A.
These two-new hold sets combined with the existing three MoonBoard hold sets will make up the MoonBoard Masters 2017 setup, filling all 198 MoonBoard hold spaces.
We're equally as excited to announce that this new setup will be launched globally to coincide with 'The North Face MoonBoard Masters' invitational competition on December 9, 2017.
The North Face MoonBoard Masters will take place simultaneously from four iconic MoonBoard locations around the world and streamed live online. With teamwork at its forefront, the competition will pitch five famous duos against each other in a MoonBoard battle of strength and skill.
