I took the photo from inside the lighthouse (through the glass window as I wasn't allowed outside, H&S rules)and didn't know that anybody was climbing. Later I wandered over to Castel Helen and saw an old man surface in the area of the abseil point, and sudddenly realised it was Mick Ryan (Black & Tans) who said he had been soloing up the face. I should point out that Mick is 69! And I didn't realise that he was on the photo until I processed the image on PS when I returned home.

I thought you were joking, great story!

Yeah great shot

Great scale and pose.
I think he's probably on the first 'pitch' of North West Passsage. Atlantis goes up the far corner (out of sight)to the half way ledge.

Yes, checking the guide you might be right. If Mick sees this he might let us know for sure.

Keeping it real. What are the chances?

He's just set off up the second pitch of RAP or PEL. Northwest Passage leaves from the other end of the ledge - a lot further right.
Good clean up from the original shot though but the cropping doesn't quite work for me.
