This photograph very aptly illustrates the erosion problem below the Cromlech. It really does require a footpath of sorts, and re-seeding of the eroded areas. The National Park ought to accept some responsibility along with the BMC to instigate some initative in this matter. I thought the problem was bad in the 60's when I first climbed here but nobody seems interested.

Eroding problem? Not sure its at all visible in this photo... I hope your not just looking at the scree!

Well I have photos taken from here in the late 60's and the erosion don't look anything as bad as this!

Yes, the scree erosion is very worrying... But it's a superb picture, a much more interesting angle than most people take (I suppose rather overly obsessed with rock climbs irrespective of their environment).
