Thick ice but very hard rather than brittle. Felt like hitting rock rather than ice at times.

We set off up the right higher right ice fall, The Chancer RH VI6, the steep one, only after a few meters, as I was thunking in the axes, the rear of the ice sheet was shearing away... bravely ran away and completed the lower rh fall then on to the LH line of the Chancer at about V 6.
