Two of the best climbers of their day,when climbing was a great adventure. Read Richards book for a great insight into the period, though rather understated a good read.

Hello Bootsie, I think most people would agree with you. You mention John Kingston in another comment and he was with us that day on Gimmer. Paul and I bumped into him in Ambleside and he joined us on a couple of routes.
