This is all you get following the demise of all of the pegs around the crux. It resisted some tugging and Phil even had to get the nut key out but it would surely have ripped as the peg stub is pointing downwards. The nut is a DMM 0.75 micronut. The next piece down is an ok #3 nut more or less level with the belay (if you belay at the top of the massive flake).

I remember that junk being there in 1988. I was 5kg overweight and struggled past it. Totally pumped by the time I hit the easy groove. Great contrast to first pitch which is so open.
