I was doing some route cleaning today at Sandford Quarry when I came upon this magnificent bird.It was obviously tame as it had "Jesses" on and allowed me to get very close to it.I have reported it to "Secret World Wildlife Centre" and they say they are sending someone to try and catch it but if you know what sort of bird it is or have any other information please let me know.

Thanks Mike, apparently he was there on Sunday,He is able to fly but seems reluctant to do so in this awful weather and just sits there trying to dry his wings.

A Falconer is on his way to the quarry this morning,so I hope there is a good outcome to this.

Good work. Although I do quite like the idea of Eagles over Zummerzet...

He turned out to be a "Steppe Eagle Hybrid" and has been collected by his owner.
