Fantastic shot that conveys exactly how the Alps feel at dawn. Great sense of depth down to the Mer de Glace,from the summit of the Verte I suppose. I bet that sun was welcome!

Hello John, Yes you are quite right,taken from the summit of the Verte and it was good to feel a bit of warmth from the sun! It was nice to see the light picking out the tops of the Aiguilles Noire and Blanche, and the Tour Ronde, and casting the shadow of Mont Blanc. Also there was warmth from the other climbers up there; really friendly and mellow. It was a great day out!
