A couple of weeks either side of solstice the sun sets on the Tre Cime north faces themselves. This was the 4th attempt at this shot when finally there was a good sunset. This is a cropped 14 photo stitch composite (the moon is shot at 50mm to more accurately portray what the eye saw).
