Namibia's most iconic peak rises 600m above the plains of Damaraland

Looks magnificent - how was the climbing?

Yes, a fabulous place and the two routes we had time for were superb. Need to go back!

Magic place, climbed it back in 1975.
GN Hunter - 02/Nov/17
Looking at the summit book, it only gets around ten ascents per year and only extremely rarely by British climbers. Similarly the Pontokspitze. A truly magical place indeed!

Does it ever get cold enough to climb hard on it?
Franco Cookson - 07/Dec/17
We were there at the coldest time of year and we definitely wanted to be climbing in the shade. Comfortable in the shade, but probably not the sort of ideal conditions you would probably be looking for!
