I recall it been a fabulous day. We had the whole crag to ourselves with good snow and ice conditions. The only tiny minus point was the strong icy wind which kept dumping spin drift into the gully, turning us both into snow men. Great fun.

Oh yes, ace! Those old (moleskin?) breeches used to get as iced up as Dachsteins, didn't they!

In response to jon...the breeches were indeed "moleskin", and yes they did ice up, felt like wearing cardboard tubes around your legs. Don't you miss those days? Lol.
