Nice set of photos - I'm always amazed at it's fairly low grade given its objective hazards on approach, complexity and altitude. All of which put me off. Or was I just being a wimp?

No Peter. You know my history and how I was introduced to the mountains: very different from someone like you. And that is why the previous photo summed up to me as a beginner what mountaineering was all about, that staggering view of the whole Brenva face and seeing the summit of Mont Blanc from a route of such quality. That photo of the Isolée is the fun of climbing, that view the soul.
