This is lovely!

Is this 2 photos joined together?

I took 71 exposures over 3 hours to capture all the elements & the final result uses only 3 of them. Problems with exposure latitude, shutter speed & hand held / tripod use prohibit a single exposure to capture this photograph. I conceived the image during a dog-walk when I noticed the flowering Monbrecia as a suitable forground.

What type of birds were flying when you took the photo??

What a superb picture but its not a photograph is it ?
Marcus Tierney - 30/Oct/05
However aesthetically pleasing the shot is, the technical side is making the image seem wrong. The stark contrast between the shot edges, the angle of the bird shadow on the water etc. Like Marcus said...

This might not be a 'photograph' as such but it's a superb 'photo montage' if that's the correct terminology. Good vision in putting this one together Sean!

It is a photograph. Techniques like this have been used since the invention of photography. Done in the early dys either in camera or in the darkroom but now able to produce stunning results by using Photoshop.
I love what you've done here.
