Its a shit photo I know, but it was only submitted to add to the page for this route ... The line goes up the chalked slab in the middle between the two groves (without touching them). The chalk on the left hand grove is a different route (Smoove Grove (E6 6a))

Is that gear in smooth groove? Is it any good?

Yeah its pretty bomber, big cam and two hexes. But it makes the line much less pure and probably makes it about E4 5c/6a or something.

I think Ill get down to Avon for the easiest E7 in Britain. You did say 6cm didn't you?

If you fell of the last hard move of Smooth Grove would the gear in the bore hole stop you from hitting the deck?
