Exciting that abseil isn't it? Not to mention the "stance".
Like the other chap said, somebody didn't read the bit in the guidebook about the first person down putting gear in for the second on the abseil.

yes but as i recall it didn't make much difference....you just need to keep the swing up and you'll land in the right spot. although some preplaced gear might save your rope from a soaking.

It doesn't make a great deal of difference either way as you can swing in quite easily. Looks a bit rougher than when we did it.
