Julie considering options on an attempt on Brightside
PontiusPirate - 20/Aug/08
Ahem, shouldn't she be a little more to the right - say where that hold is?! ;0P

I did say an _attempt_ on Brightside!
Julie couldn't work how to get across (turns out she was probably too high even at that stage) and went higher up the chimney (Swimmer's Chimney) to try and see the sequence, then binned it when the midgies came out and it transpired that it was too much hassle to reverse to the proper position.

I think I came round with hands at the level of the gear below her feet. IMHO It does take alot of working out on a true onsight as it's not obvious and feels very unlikely.

Yeah, definitely went up far too high. Should have got the sling then moved onto the wall but was drawn by the allure of the chockstone. Ah well, will have to have another go sometime...

Yep, you have to make a sort of weird downward/rightward swing on the face where your lower gear was. the youve got the crux:)
