One day ascent? did they not spend a night on a ledge halfway up the wall?

yes but if they started at mid day and finished before mid day tomorrow, that would be a one day ascent, with a sleep in the middle

That was pretty lame - more time spent in traffic jams than climbing.

I enjoyed it, but when I noticed they were clipping bolts it didn't really seem so adventurous.

They did a 2 day ascent first to work the route, then had a rest day and sent it the following day.
