Barry Lopez RIP

I just read that Barry Lopez died on Christmas day. He was an author whose work has meant a lot to me over the many years since I read Arctic Dreams. It is sad to think that there will be no more books.

Going by much of your posting I think you would get a lot out of his books, Arctic Dreams in particular. Of Wolves and Men is essential too.

Crossing Open Ground is a good compilation of shorter pieces to dip into.

Ha ha, no, but I remember enjoying a canoe trip vid of yours in Canada, so Lopez will likely resonate.
