We have one or a maximum of two days in Font, and would mainly go there for our boulderhappy and keen six year old girl. Any suggestion which area would be especially well suited? Forget about the adults, we are not really into bouldering.

Thanks in advance.

La Canche aux Merciers is excellent. There's a dedicated kids circuit and a new purple circuit that's sits between the yellow and oranges. There's more than enough for 2 days there.

Yup.

And perhaps  La Roche aux Sabots or  Le Cul de Chien. The former also has a kiddie circuit, and the latter is nice to play around & scenery.

Absolutely Canche aux Merciers. Two white circuits for kids including crawls, squeezes, chimneys and tunnels. A few pics here from about 6 years ago when my daughter was 8.

There is a boulder circuit for kids at La Feuilladiere the boulders are all maximum  2 metres high, we walked past it and thought it'd be amazing fun for a kid!

Second vote for Roche aux Sabots.

Some good problems across most grades there. Both myself, wife, friends and kids can climb happily. 2 year old daughter not quite up to it yet But trying

We’ve tried 5 different circuits over our past 2 visits.

Our favourite was feuilladiere, it has a tunnel, 3 circuits for different ages from toddlers to 12 year olds.

canche was good but very polished and incredibly busy on the Sunday we were there.

rocher canon started ok, but some of the boulders are quite high, and then we hit lost in the chaos.

Elephant is ok but again not that easy to follow the circuit.

Apremont Bizon is a lovely open location for the kids to play, but the problems are higher and harder than on the other circuits above.

Got to agree with Paul and ENty.  Merciers has got to be the best for low to mid grade bouldering.  Went there again last month and was indeed amazed to see that they've added another easy circuit to the list . the purples.

Absolutely stacks to go at there.

Thank you for all these recommendations. All excellent, just what I need at 85 except one forgets that kids are supple and the aged are not!
