Wasn't sure where to stick this but really fancy going to Chamonix (or any other alpine town) and having a go at learning to climb big(ger) walls / multi pitch stuff (trad or sport) in the alps.
Can anyone recommend guides / companies that are worth speaking to about this.
Maybe try googling Alpine Courses?Companies like ISM (to pick one at random) offer a large variety at all levels, as well as individually guided tours (on which you won't learn nearly as much as on a course).
If you actually want to learn how to climb in the Alps rather than simply get dragged up some routes I'd strongly suggest you find a suitable course or a British guide in advance and explain what you want to achieve rather than simply hiring a guide locally.
