Anyone got any tips for getting from the Roaches back to the train at Stoke-on-Trent by public transport?
I'm trying to figure this out for Sat evening but the usually reliable Google maps on my phone can't work it out. I'd be grateful for any ideas, thanks.
In reply to Jezzamiah: Still looking for ideas....
In attempt to redeem my google ineptitude, I added the timings in, and the last bus is 4:30, which I filed under "no chance of me tearing myself away from the crag that early".
We used to walk or hitch back fom the roches to leek if we missed the last bus. It's not as bad as you'd think. There's a couple of pubs to break up the journey too.
Not sure how much help this is but the West Coast main line runs through Macclesfield and Congleton before getting to Stoke so maybe look at bus options that go to those stations too? Alternatively someone might be along who can offer you a lift...
