Trow Gill

Hi all.

I'm wanting to climb at Trow Gill tomorrow Sunday. Forecast pretty good but it will be following pretty heavy rainfall Friday and Saturday. Anyone who knows the crag well know what seepage will be like please?Particularly wanting to be on Far Country and Distant Lands on the North (sunny) wall. Thanks for any info.

I've actually never been, but I'm 99% sure it'll be soaked. I've always had it down as a crag for a dry spell, and it's been absolutely minging here (Kendal, just up the road) for a couple of weeks. It's just about stopped raining now but it rained solidly all day. Avoid.

In reply to Jon Stewart:

Ok thanks for the info Jon

I’d say it’s worth a look personally. I’ve not been to Trow, but the crags nearby are still pretty dry.

Not been up there personally but weather in Skipton has been pretty much as Jon reports from Kendal. Friday night and today have been foul even at valley level with even places as low as CRookrise in thick mist so absolutely no sun (not even on the sunny side) to dry it out

It’ll be soaked! Robin Proctors is usually ok in weather like this.

Thanks to everyone for info. Hope you all have a good dry day out today!
